“I’LL BE VOTING FOR JOSH COHN, JULIE SOUZA AND BEN STACKS. THE CITY HAS BEEN SUPERBLY MANAGED FOR THE LAST FOUR YEARS, AND JOSH AND THE CURRENT COUNCIL MEMBERS CAN CLAIM CREDIT FOR THAT SUCCESS.”

COUNTY EXECUTIVE GEORGE LATIMER

“OVER THE LAST FOUR YEARS I HAVE HAD MANY OPPORTUNITIES TO WORK WITH MAYOR JOSH COHN AND COUNCILMEMBERS JULIE SOUZA AND BEN STACKS. WHAT I OBSERVED WAS THAT THEY UNDERSTOOD THE NEED TO CAREFULLY BALANCE INFRASTRUCTURE NEEDS WITH TAX DOLLARS, AND HAVE COME THROUGH WITH A ROBUST ROADS AND SEWER REMEDIATION PLAN WHICH IS NOW IN THE IMPLEMENTATION STAGE. THEY HAVE SHOWN THAT EVEN WHEN THROWN A PANDEMIC, THEY HAVE SUCCEEDED IN PROVIDING EXCELLENT LEADERSHIP. I HAVE FOUND THEM TO BE PROFESSIONAL, COLLABORATIVE, AND RESULTS DRIVEN. I’LL BE VOTING FOR THEM WITH ENTHUSIASM.”

COUNTY LEGISLATOR CATHERINE PARKER

We're proud of our record of working productively with elected officials at all levels of government over the last four years.  Partnering with important champions of Rye like George Latimer and Catherine Parker has helped us achieve great results for our constituents, and we are delighted to call them friends as well as colleagues.

We appreciate their kind words of support.

WHY WE ARE RUNNING...AGAIN

During our four years as your elected representatives, extreme challenges have buffeted Rye. Storms Quinn, Riley and Isais brought extended power outages that were merely the warm-up.  Then COVID threatened our lives and health, our local businesses, and our kids’ education and psychological well-being. Just as the pandemic seemed to be waning, Ida devastated many of our homes and businesses.

Our hearts go out to everyone suffering. We have responded by doing everything in our power to keep the City functioning well and meeting residents’ needs. We are running again because there is still so much to do, both to repair the immediate damage and to maintain the City’s long term progress.

The City under our leadership has accomplished much already. Yet much as we’ve accomplished, we know there is lots more to do. We hope for the opportunity to continue moving Rye forward.
